Hack Violet (Jan 30-31)
is a 24-hour female-empowerment hackathon with a specific mission to
encourage all individuals to learn about and become change agents for
the gender gap in technology by innovating and inspiring with code. They
believe in the value of hosting events that bring together people of all
genders under a common goal: to make tech an inclusive space that
celebrates women (trans and cis) and other minorities.
Pearl Hacks (Feb 19-21)
is an annual 48-hour hackathon for women and non-binary students,
organized at UNC Chapel Hill. They cater to first-time hackers who are
looking for a supportive environment to explore technology! There are
tons of workshops about coding, women in STEM panels, and team formation
events. No coding experience required.
Women In Computer Science Hackathon (Feb 20-21)
is hosting their fifth annual hackathon with both beginner and
intermediate technical workshops in the days leading up to the hackathon
and a 24-hour hackathon starting on Saturday! They also have various
company talks and time for you to meet our sponsors. WiCS Hacks is open
to ALL women and non-binary students in any major. All skill levels are
welcome and we are beginner-friendly!
Tech Togehter Atlanta (Feb 26-28)
is Atlanta’s collegiate and high school hackathon for
gender-marginalized individuals. With a team from all over the world,
Tech Together Atlanta is striving to provide support and opportunities
virtually to gender-marginalized hackers. There are tons of workshops
and events to check out and no coding experience is needed to attend.
